Responsibilities

  • Basic qualification accredited with SANC in terms of Government Notice R425 (ie Diploma/ degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse
  • A Qualification in Nursing Administration or Health Service Management of at least 1 year duration and is registered as such by Council (SANC)
  • A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing
  • Five (05) years must be directly in the Clinical HIV/TB Programme environment with experience in PHC management including ART initiation and HIV-TB collaboration patient management and Diploma in PHC will be added advantage
  • At least three (03) years of the period referred to above must be experience at management level
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Qualifications

  • Effective Implementation of the APP indicators including the 95x95x95 UNAID strategy at all sub district and facility level
  • Focus support activities on all the 3-95s for adults, children, adolescents, and pregnant women
  • Identify barriers to ART initiations, TROA growth ,Retention rates & Viral load monitoring and apply corrective measures to address the existing gaps
  • Scale up IPT /TPT/3 HP initiation & monitor completion rates, intensify Case Finding strategies
  • Identify barriers impeding ART programme performance & provide Technical Advice on how to address those gaps
  • Monitor the implementation of the NAS strategy and ensure decanting targets are reached
  • Conduct NIMART, and any other HIV/TB/PMTCT and related trainings that supports the current needs of the department of health as the need arises
  • Collaborate and facilitate the development of the District HAST programme Business plan
  • Effective monitoring of budget allocation to ensure that resources are adequately implemented at all levels
  • Improving access of ART and implementation of the DMOC Programme
